Honey, illegal immigrants are here because they are easy plunder for business, period.  Illegal immigrants work for cheap, they don't make a fuss when they are abused, and they are disposable.  According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, these folks are "essential workers."  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is one of the most powerful special interests in Washington, D.C. and they spent $144,000,000 lobbying Congress in 2009 alone.  Go ahead and make life difficult for illegal immigrants and their children.  Persecute them and make them even more frightened and desperate than they already are.  The robber barons are laughing all the way to the bank.  --Granny, 8/11/2010
