Editor's Note:  I'm sorry if you want to believe that hardly anybody in Obama's cabinet has any private sector business experience.  Get ready for some disappointment, honey, because they do.  Plenty of it.  You can read all about it at Politifact.com. Poor Mr. Michael Cembalest embarrassed himself by writing an article back in November of 2009 about how Obama's cabinet had the least amount of private sector business experience of any Presidential cabinet all the way back to Teddy Roosevelt. His research got a little wobbly when, in his own mind, the definition of "private sector business experience" got a little too narrow. Turns out that if you define "private sector business experience" as "private sector business experience," Obama's cabinet measures up pretty well against any other president on the list. 

Honey, I feel sorry for Mr. Cembalest.  He seems to sincerely regret his error, particularly because his flawed article and the accompanying graph went viral and even made it onto a TV talker's show. Now all the dipsticks who forward inaccurate viral emails will keep it going until the end of the world and he'll never hear the end of it. He's sort of like the kid who pees his pants the first day of kindergarten and then can't live it down for the rest of his life. That's awful.  --Granny, 2/01/2012

That's right! Only eight percent---the least, by far, of the
last 19 presidents! And these people are trying to tell our big
corporations how to run their business?

How can the president of a major nation and society, the one
with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk
about business when he's never worked for one? Or about jobs when he has
never really had one? And when it's the same for 92% of his senior staff
and closest advisers? They've spent most of their time in academia,
government and/or non-profit jobs or as "community organizers." They should
have been in an employment line.

stream media
